Real?

I was meeting a potential client who was interested in me talking some portrait shots. We went to a park in Easton to take a couple of test shots and came upon this, a Sculpture of a Bird (I’m pretty sure it depicts an Osprey) feeling her young. At first look you can hardly tell that it’s not real.

Red Soccer Moon

This past week was one that the majority of the photographs were of KCHS’s Sports. It was also the week of the Blood Moon. I missed getting the shot in the morning, but when the moon rose that evening it was blood red without being in an eclipse. Played with a few shots as it was rising over the Boy’s Soccer game with this being the best,

Kent County High School Football team after suffering two painful lost on the road returned home for the second time this season. Before the game the Cheerleaders were practicing. The Cheerleaders did a great job, but the team lost their third game in a row.

On September 20, 2014 Kent County, Maryland held their annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life (RelayForLife.org/KentMD). It was their 20th Anniversary event. During the Luminara Ceremony, these three girls picked this spot to sit. I don’t know whether it held any significance to them, but the bag on the left is of Barron Scott, a young man who has been childhood cancer.

Remembering 9-11
It has been 13 years since the terrorist attacked on the Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001. Beginning with the first anniversary of the attack and each year since, the Town of Galena has held a ceremony to remember 9-11 and those who lost their lives, especially the Fire Department Personnel.

Trojan Pride
The first week of September was slow until the weekend. Friday Night, September 5th was the home and season opener for the High School Football team. Plenty of good shots. Taking the Field, first catch, first touchdown, cheerleaders and the marching band just to name a few.

I selected the first shot I took that night of the Banner that was attached to the rear of the stadium that showed Trojan Pride.

And I also have that Pride since I was a graduate of Kent County High, Class of ’76.

During Labor Day weekend, Kent County, Maryland held an reenactment of the War of 1812 Battle of Caulk’s Field. It was a weekend full of photographic opportunities. Even though one of my best shots of the weekend was of a cannon firing, I decided to use this photo of three high ranking Military Officers (one American, far right, and two British) saluting in memory of the 14 British Soldiers who died on the day of the battle (August 31, 1814) at the Wreath Laying Ceremony.
