Portraits should document you as you want to be seen and empower you.
A definition of Empowered is to make one stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights.
Some photographers are terming an Empowerment Photo session as being a Boudoir Photoshoot. It can be, but it’s just a small part of being empowered. You don’t have to take off your clothes or wear sexy lingerie to have an empowered photo. Although if this is your desire, I can do those too.
Empowerment Photos are to show the world how you are, how you feel, and how in control of your life you are!
A business image portrait (aka Headshot), a lifestyle portrait, a fashion photo, or just simply an around town photograph at your favorite location area can be very empowering.
Everyone of these have a place. The key is to create photos that make you feel at your best and show others how you want to be seen.
Have you been told not to do something? Either because someone said you are not ready, or because you feel you aren’t ready.
Why?
Many people, especially women, don’t really know how important it is to be your authentic self. Every one should Embrace Life, Embrace the Imperfections, simply Embrace YOU!
Let’s Do it!
There may not be a better time and when looking back you may regret that you didn’t.
Let loose, get your groove on, and show the world just who you are!
You can spend a little time at your favorite salon, or not. Grab some clothes, the ones that make you feel like you rule the world and in charge of all around you. Then let’s create a photo that shows you being the master of your world!
My goal is to create photos to empower you, not exploit. I strive to make all of my photographs to be a piece of Fine Art.
I’d love to discuss with you about doing an Empowerment Photo. You can contact me by using the form, or give me a call at 410 708-3653 or come by the Eclectic Gift Shop at 103 West Sunset in Greensboro. See ShoreToBeFun.com/Shop for the hours I am there.
Not looking for a photographer, You can come by the shop and use my Spring Background to do your own selfie.
Note:
Gentlemen, while this post was for the ladies, there is no reason why you can’t do an empowerment photo with your partner, or one of your own.
