For the past few years, I have begun the year with a Word to lead me into the New Year. My Word of the Year for 2024 was Re-Invent.

As 2024 began one of my goals was to re-invent my photography services. Instead of saying I was a photographer I began calling myself a Fine Art Photographer. Even though I wasn’t aware of it at the time, the Eclectic Gift Shop turned into my Gallery/Studio and Gift Shop during the year.

My word for 2025 is Communicate.

A few years ago I wrote as an introduction that I am really a communicator. I do this through multiple ways. One is through my photographs which I communicate the beauty, and sometime not so beautiful, of Chesapeake Country on the Eastern Shore as well as the history and heritage of the region.

Another way is through my informational Websites, Kent County Crier and Chesapeake Crier, that I share what’s happening, mostly Art and Entertainment, news and events.

This year I am bringing back a program that I began in the pre-covid days of 2020, but for many reasons really never saw the light of day. I began sharing some features of that during 2024, but the full launch begins now. In those pre-Covid days, the term Personal Branding was all the rage. While it is still out there, the idea has faded. Possibly because the idea of branding yourself isn’t really what most of us are doing. You aren’t a brand, but you do have a Business Identity and it is unique to you.

In 2025, I have a goal of using my knowledge to communicate with people of business to assist them to learn, understand, and use their “Unique Business Identity” in Networking and Marketing. I have written a couple of Articles/Posts already sharing information. Much more to come in 2025 as the programed is launched.
