Galena Dogwood Festival Parade – May 10, 2025

Here we are. May came and went pretty quickly. Last week was Memorial Day. A day that many consider the beginning of Summer. And when you look at the Calendar, Summer begins in less than 3 weeks. In 30 days 1/2 of 2025 will be gone.

I’ve been out and about capturing memories via photographs. On May 10th I attended the Dogwood Festival in Galena. During Memorial Day Weekend I photograph two small town Memorial Day Parade. One in Denton, Caroline County MD on the Friday before, and the other in Chestertown, Kent County MD, on Memorial Day. Of course I’m a little more traditional and feel that Memorial Day is May 30th, which is when I started writing this update. Coming up in June.

While ShoreToBeFun will always be a part of me, in June I will be transitioning to using Chesapeake Country Photographs. I don’t really think of it as rebranding, since I have been using Chesapeake Country Photographs for several years. It’s that beginning soon, I’ll be advertising as “Steve Atkinson’s Chesapeake Country Photographs”. There’s another piece of news that goes with that, but that announcement is still a few weeks away.

I plan to do some new posts on my Visit Chesapeake Country site as well as freshening up some of the older post. I just noticed the other day there are over 200 pages on that site. As a reminder, the majority of the photographs on there are available as Prints.

Well, it looks like I prematurely posted this. Not much more to add.
