The Old White Marsh Episcopal Church is located between Easton and Trappe and can be seen from US-50. The Church was built before 1690, destroyed by a fire in 1892 and partly restored in 1977. Buried there is Robert Morris, Sr, father of Robert Morris, Jr. Robert Morris, Jr as part of Pennsylvania legislature to the Second Continental Congress was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the United States Constitution. From 1781 to 1784, he served as the Superintendent of Finance of the United States, becoming known as the “Financier of the Revolution”.

Robert Morris, Jr as part of Pennsylvania legislature to the Second Continental Congress was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the United States Constitution. From 1781 to 1784, he served as the Superintendent of Finance of the United States, becoming known as the “Financier of the Revolution”.

Robert Morris, Sr would move to Oxford, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 1738, where he would acquire a fortune. Robert Morris, Jr would arrive in 1847. Two years later the Senior Morris would send his son to Philadelphia.

In 1750 Robert Morris, Jr would inherit the fortune of Robert Morris, Sr when he died.
