It seems as if everyone has an opinion of when Summer Begins. Of course the summer solstice occurs on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. But others feels as if it’s the Memorial Day weekend. To me I always feel that it is May 1st.

It’s in May that Festival Season begins. Festivals are a huge part of the Summer Season and is why I equate May as being the beginning of Summer.

For the past 10 years I have been attending Festivals throughout the Eastern Shore and Delaware covering them as a Photojournalist. This is where I believe my photographic abilities are at their best and while lately I have been marketing myself more as a Fine Art Landscape photographer it is photographing events where I feel I excel.

It’s not like I don’t cover events all through the year. April was a busy month. Each of the past three weekends have seen me out. CannaFest in Denton on the 16th, a couple of earth Day events on the 23rd and this past weekend with a Historic Marker Dedication in Denton. I was beginning to market my services as an Event Photographer the year before the lost Covid Years. Now that things are beginning to come back to normal it’s time to bring that side of my photography back. When I tell people that I photograph events, the question I’m asked is “Do you do Weddings”. My answer is I do Commercial Events. Ribbon Cuttings, Corporate Functions and of of course fairs and festivals.

Being paid for photographing an Event is my goal. However, I am open to being a partner in your non-profit event as an in-kind sponsor. Not only with my photography, but also through my online Arts and Entertainment Website, ChesaDel Crier and helping to advertise your event.

This all ties in with my goal of giving visitors to Maryland’s Eastern Shore a reason to stray off of the major highway to the beaches and explore the sights, the history and the heritage that Maryland Eastern Shore has to offer at ChesapeakeCountyRoads.com. In April I debuted 4 sets of 5×7 Greeting Cards (A7) and a set of 5.5×4.25 Note Card (A2).

From covering events over the past 10 years and my landscape photos, I have a huge number of photos that can be used for Stock Photos.

I just know that May will be a Fantastic start of the Summer of ’22.
