The Labor Day weekend has come to a close. Last week my 65th year around the sun begun and the Calendar page was changed to September. Schools have either already begun or will be very shortly.
Even though there are still a couple of weeks until the official End of Summer, for most they feel that summer is now over. We aren’t quite entering the last quarter of the year, but for me since my year is generally though of as in thirds, it is the beginning of the final stage of the year for me.

Things are changing a bit with my Chesapeake Country Roads project. I will begin marketing the project as Explore Chesapeake County. I have been publishing the ChesaDel Crier – Online Art and Entertainment News between the Bays for close to 10 years. I have decided to end that project. It won’t be closing completely until after the 1st of the New Year. Beginning on September 1st, posts published there, with Chesapeake Country News, will also be published on Explore Chesapeake County under an Art and Entertainment Tab
I updated my It’s a Wonderful Time of the Year for Photographs piece to include September and the beginning of the School Year. While I do enjoy the summer season with all of the summer Festivals and Events, the final four months are actually my favorite. I think it has to do with the colors of the season. The colors of the change from summer to fall, the colors of Halloween and of course the colors of all of the seasonal/holiday decorations.
When asked at Networking events I have begun saying that I am looking to do photos of people in costumes (CosPlay). I really am looking forward to doing some Halloween costumes of zombies, and other role-playing activities. What would be great would be to build a couple of client relationships to do a bunch of photo opportunities between now and the end of the year.
Yes, I really do think that this is a great time to create unique and memorable photographs. And following my own introduction, I’m planning to create many beautiful photos of places and people.
And I am still looking to do portraits to add to my online portfolio. Are you a more mature lady? That is really who I am seeking to work with to create photos of a number of different moods.
