September Raced By

Soy Beans color and Clouds
I really don’t know where the month of September went. It seemed as if it was just Labor Day and now October is here.

I suppose it didn’t help much that the first two weeks of September I was involved with a Community Theatre Production that a lot of time and effort was spent. And the last two week spent catching up on many things.

I’m sure I’ve said this before, October is a favorite time of year for me. I would say it’s actually the six weeks from the middle of September to Halloween. Nature begins to show some amazing colors. Fields of corn and soybeans are moving towards harvest and these colors are vastly different from the ones during summer. The leaves on the trees are changing their colors, even if it’s not as pronounce here on the shore as it is further inland.

I was taking a look at the Website and I noticed that it needs an update. I may leave the real work on updating it until after the 1st of the year. I have added links to my Fine Art America page. I created that page a few years ago and lately I’ve allowed it to go dormant. I will be revising it soon adding some newer photographs, but looking at it again, I see it’s still is a fairly good representation of my Fine Art work.

Much of the revision of the page will go towards my Portfolio and I am still looking to do bargain priced sessions if you allow me to use the photos as part as my portfolio.

Lately I have been fascinated with the autumn clouds here on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and have been taking a lot of photos. I even did a photo-essay of clouds at Explore Chesapeake Country.

Last month I said that I am looking to do photos of people in costumes (CosPlay). With Halloween coming up I really am looking to doing some Halloween costumes of zombies, and other role-playing activities. What would be great would be to build a couple of client relationships to do a bunch of photo opportunities between now and the end of the year.

Even though Christmas is nearly three months away, I will put this offer out now. It seems that in the 60’s many women had their photos taken in front of their Christmas Tree. Some were dressed in their finest, others in nightwear. Last year I wanted to do this as a photo project, but didn’t really have any responses. I still want to do this project and am offering to do this again this year. If you are interested or want to hear more about the idea, let’s talk.

Speaking about Christmas, I am creating a set of Holiday Cards which will be available shortly at the Card Store Page at Chesapeake County Roads. This photo is sure to be one in the set.

And if you are looking for a unique holiday gift consider getting them one of my Calendars or Note Cards of photos of sights seen on the Chesapeake Country Roads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

If you are interested in ‘Christmas Tree’ photo or anything I’ve listed and need more information please contact me at Photos@ShoreToBeFun.com, text or call at 410 708-3653, or via the contact form
