As the saying goes, “The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry”, and that is exactly what has happened this summer with my plan to do weekly photo drives. As the summer of 2019 is coming to an end I finally had a chance to take one of those drives. It was a short trip to Eastern Neck Island NWR just a few miles from my home.

It has been a few years since my last visit to the Island, and I really have no excuse. With it being so close I should be going regularity. There is so much to see and photograph. This trip I spent most of my time there at the Butterfly Trail.

I am already thinking about a return visit.
