Beginning of the 2nd Half of the Year

As I begin this month’s update I noticed that I didn’t do a recap at the end of June. Here are a few from June.

Gettysburg Wheat FieldThe last two weeks in June was the best the best two weeks financially that I’ve enjoyed since prior the beginning of Covid in March 2020. I had the chance to attend and photograph a Business Leadership Training trip to Gettysburg.

I worked with the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce to do a Head Shot Clinic for members. This may become a regular feature.

The best par of the month was the opportunity to work with the NPS and their collaboration with the Pride of Baltimore II. The ship spent a weekend in Chestertown and I was photographed one of the Sails.

And now for July.

16 Month Chesapeake Country Roads Calendar coverAs the title of this update says it’s the beginning of the 2nd half of the year. And I much say that the first half has been good. June was better than May and April began the 2nd quarter with the start of my ‘Chesapeake Country Roads‘ project. It is moving ahead well. I spent quite a few hours taking photos throughout the northern counties of the Eastern Shore. The first set of Greeting Cards as well as a 16-Month (September 2021-December 2022) are now available. Kent County FairAs is usual for me July is a month that I devote to volunteering. Which felt nice since last year the two groups I volunteer to, Church Hill Theatre with their Youth Theatre Camp and the Kent County 4-H with the Kent County Fair, did not have their usual events in 2020. Unlike some years when the two overlap, I was able to not being rushed. Once again I had the honor of photographing the Livestock Auction winners on the closing night of the fair. My photos from the fair can be seen on my Facebook Page – ShoreToBeFun Photographs

What’s on store for August?

Recently I was approached by a business associate who asked me if ‘Senior Portraits’ is part of my offerings. I have done a few, but it’s not something that I promote. When I think of ‘Senior’ it’s usually of senior citizens. So I am considering on doing portraits for High School and College seniors.

There are a couple of events occurring in August that I am planning on attending including the opening of the Caroline/Dorchester Fair, Rock Hall’s Pirates and Wenches weekend, and my High School Reunion.
