When 2017 turned into 2018 the East Coast and Chestertown was frozen. I usually take my first photo of the New Year at the same event that is held annually in Rock Hall, a fundraiser for the Rock Hall VFC called the Big Dip where members of the fire company and others run into the Chesapeake bay, but it was canceled due to ice being on the bay.
A few days after the New Year the area got a couple of inches of snow. This is the sight I saw at the Chester River at the foot of High Street in Chestertown. At the time I didn’t like the photo. When I looked for a few for this Gallery, I looked at the first one I shot this year and decided to start the 2018 Remembered gallery with the first one I shot.

I began attending a weekly networking meeting on Kent Island early in 2018. One afternoon after the meeting I decided to explore a few of the quiet places on the Island. I had been to Ferry Point Park before, but it had been a few years. It was the same as it as I remembered it. And it is one of those Quiet Places.

While I am always looking for a nice landscape to enjoy and photograph, I don’t always look closer into things. And bugs aren’t something I usually photograph. But this one caught my eye.

Downrigging is one of the big annual events in my hometown of Chestertown at the end of October. Tall ships come to call. Saturday it rained, but by night the rains had stopped and although it was still overcast the lights on the ships looked wonderful against the dark sky behind them.

There are many unique Christmas traditions on MD Eastern Shore and the Delmarva Peninsula. This year Chestertown created another one by turning their famous fountain into a Christmas Tree.

Another one of those Christmas Traditions in the Crab Pot tree in Chesapeake City. On the day I was there I was able to catch this shot.

Early in 2018 since I do not have a Gallery nor am I associated with one, I thought it would be nice to create what realistically would be a Gallery Show only it would be posted online on my Web site.
As it turned out that those were the only two even though the idea was to have a new one once a month to debut on the first Friday of each month.
So what happened? Spring, Summer and Fall. Those are my busy times of the year.
Now that winter is almost here, I have decided that these Gallery Shows should return.
Look for a new one the 1st Friday of the month until Spring. February’s Galley? We’ll just have to see.
Thank You
