Sometimes you can get some great photographs from your backyard. That was the case with this one. It was in Mid-August of 2015. I was covering an outside festive night in my hometown. The local fire house was nearby and I heard them start out on a call.

A short time later I received a call from home. The building behind my home was engulfed in fire. Of course I rushed home and was able to get this shot of two fire tower trucks spraying water on the fire. It was a long night since the building was around 40 feet from my back yard.

Ironically I talked with a few folks involved with the festival and they had no idea that a fire was going on just a few blocks away.
