A Few Favorite Photographs from 2021 and Looking Forward to 2022

Happy New Year
After a 2020 which at best can be a disappointing year there was hopes that 2021 would be better. In general it was. Some of the usual events I attend didn’t happen, but many did. And there were a couple of new ones such as the two I was involved with the Caroline Chamber of Commerce, their Dog Show in May and MactoberFest in October.

I did a series of ‘Points of Interest’ on Delmarva photo-essays. With the announcement of the The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) “America’s Byways” establishment of the Chesapeake Country All-American Road, I realize that’s what I have mostly been photographing for the past several years. I began the project Chesapeake Country Road – ChesapeakeCountryRoads.com. I recently made the announcement there the title for a Photo-Book planned to be published around the beginning of the 3rd Quarter of 2022.

During my travels throughout Maryland’s Eastern Shore, this year, I shot hundreds of photos which makes it nearly impossible to select a favorite photo from each the the 12 months of 2021. Although some months it was easy, especially the one in July of the Caulk’s Field Memorial in Kent County. Select one I did. Are they the best? perhaps not. In general they are pretty good.

I was asked the other day to tell one high point in 2021. That would be the chance to work with the National Park Service and Fort McHenry with a trip on the Chester River on the Pride of Baltimore II.

Along with my Fine Art work, which the photos in the Slide Show is a good representation, I have done a lot more work with businesses, head shots and branding. In 2022 I am looking to do more of this as well as Empowerment Portraits for individuals. Although looking at the environment that is around us with Covid-19 seemingly not wanting to leave, I’ll just have to see how things progress.

I’ll close this final update for 2021 with a wish that everyone have a Fantastic and Productive New Year
